AUSA Community
AUSA Migration has been playing a very important role in many communities.
The Federation of Chinese Community of Canberra Inc.
FCCCI was founded in 1994, and has been playing a significant role in promoting Chinese culture in the capital territory, enhancing integration with the mainstream of Australian society, and enriching the cultural life of FCCCI members as well as local residents.

The Federation established FCCCI Chinese School in 1994, a community based and non-profit school catering for preschool and school-age children. It is one of the largest ethnic language school in Canberra, with about 140 children enrolled in 11 different levels of classes. The school is funded by the ACT government and has the support of Chinese Embassy.

FCCCI also organises regular recreational activities for the Chinese community, such as soccer matches, reception of official delegations from China, fund-raising for charity or simply a dinner get-together and dance classes. The Federation has been quickly becoming the gravity point of Chinese people in Canberra.

Australian Chinese Association
Australian Chinese Association was established by business and professional Chinese immigrants in 1990. The Association regularly receives Chinese official delegations and trade missions and its members get invitation from China for trade and investment gatherings each year. With more and more skilled migrants residing in Australia, the Association has established a sub-group called Australian Chinese Professionals Association, ensuring young aspirants inject fresh ideas into mature organisation.
Canberra Section of MIA
Jennifer Kwok regularly attends weekend gatherings organised by Canberra members of Migration Institute of Australia. Hailing from background such as officers of Department of Immigration & Citizenship, ex-government officials or migration law partners of legal firms, Canberra members are nothing but high profile as far as immigration profession is concerned.
